School Profile:

Gresham’s School is an independent co-educational school in Norfolk, the East of England. The campus size is 200 acres. Norwich Airport is a 35-minute journey to school by car. to by car, it takes approximately 2 hours by car from London Stansted Airport to the school.. In the inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in 2016, the school has been awarded ‘excellent’ in every one of the Inspectorate’s nine categories.

Academic Success:

Gresham’s School aims to provide a caring, challenging and enlightened education which celebrates British values in a Christian setting. The students have performed excellently in the exams. In 2019, almost all of A-Level pupils passed their exams with 35% gaining A* and A grades. The IB Diploma pupils achieved an average score of 33 points, 3 points above the worldwide average. results .99% of their Sixth Form proceed to Higher Education and more recently their students have received offers from Oxford, Cambridge, and many other top universities. Students are supported throughout the UCAS application process, and have the option of undergoing mock interviews to increase their confidence. Guidance is always available, and students are welcome to consult the Head of Sixth Form. Students applying to Oxford and Cambridge can also option for further training involving supplementary lessons, reading and interview preparation.

Boarding and Pastoral Care for students:

Gresham’s School is the only boarding school in Norfolk. There are almost 300 boarders and the school has seven boarding houses. Four of these are for boys: Howson's, Woodlands, Farfield and Tallis. Three houses are for girls: Oakeley, Edinburgh and Queens'.. A resident Housemaster or Housemistress runs each House. Resident house tutors and matrons provide another essential link and ensure that the pupils’ welfare is continually monitored., fancy dress parties or big screen films are common events at the school on a Saturday evening. 

Extracurricular Activities:

Gresham’s School has a wide range of co-curricular activities including the arts, music , sport, combined cadet force, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and hobbies clubs. Students who are interested in art or music performance are provided with tuition and performance opportunities.. The school seeks to help pupils make the most of their sporting abilities in a fun and healthily competitive environment. It is good at shooting and has won national champion. Horse riding is also available . The sporting facilities include floodlit Astro-turf pitches, 25-metre indoor swimming pool, large sports hall, over 30 tennis courts, an indoor 8-lane shooting range, seven rugby pitches, netball and squash courts, weights and fitness room, an athletics track and a cross-country course.
