School Profile:

Oswestry School is an co-education boarding school which is located on the outskirts of an old-fashioned market town with some of the most beautiful countryside in Shropshire in West Midland, expanding around the luscious school grounds. Oswestry is one of England’s oldest schools

Academic Success:

High quality teaching takes place in modern and technologically-equipped classrooms. A highly-qualified and inspiring team of staff fully support and motivate pupils, who are pushed to make the most of their abilities. The School is just the size - large enough to provide pupils with a feeling of independence and to house exceptional facilities, yet small enough for each pupil to be well known and contribute to the School’s development and reputation. Sixth Form lessons are delivered in small groups allowing which enables intensive support. Pupils enjoy enormous success with their university applications, owing to excellent guidance provided by the Head of Sixth Form, personal tutors and both Deputy Heads, and the majority of students are accepted by their first choice university.

There is a wide variety of sports for everyone, aided by first-class coaching. Extensive playing fields, a floodlit artificial pitch for hockey and football, netball/tennis courts, gymnasium and a heated indoor swimming pool are some of the sporting environments at Oswestry. Art and design excel as departments within the School, with several exhibitions held each year.
